The Administration and Staff of The Felician School, have implemented an exciting and innovative program designed to meet the individual and specific need of each student. Our program is designed for students with special needs, ages 3-21, and includes both classroom and community-based instruction, with emphasis on both academic and vocational learning. The ultimate goal is to prepare our students to become as independent as possible in family as well as community life.
At Felician, we want our students to recognize their own potential and develop a sense of dignity and independence. The Felician School is unique and addresses the needs of students at every age level. Our program is geared toward developing the skills, attitudes and behaviors necessary for independent living as well as obtaining and maintaining employment.
From Marvin's Mom (November 2013):
"Thank you so much! It warms my heart the way you share Marvin's little successes and what he accomplishes. I am also proud, but I am very grateful that you are his teacher (Miss Lorraine) because you guide him and encourage him. He is growing and learning so much. God Bless you for everything you do for Marvin and the other children!"
From Hajar's Family (November 2013):
"I honestly don't know how to thank you enough for all your work and support. Hajar is obvioulsy in love with her new school environment. This is also evident in her behavior and attitude. Once again thank you very much!"
From Matt's Mom (May 2013):
"I'd like to thank everyone at Felician for the wonderful work you do. My son is so happy there and I see him making great strides since he started the program. You're all making a huge difference in people's lives. Thank you so much!"
From Celeste's Mom (March 2013):
"I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all staff members who work with Celeste to help her achieve her full potential as an individual. Throughout this school year I have observed positive changes in all areas, reflecting the collaborative efforts made by Celeste's teachers and therapists. At home, I see Celeste more focused and aware of her daily routines. .. I love keeping the communication channels open. I always welcome any recommendations and strategies that I could implement at home in order to help Celeste generalize skills, abilities and become more independent."
